Draw the structures of the respiratory system, labeling the following structures:  nose, nasal cavity, external nares, internal nares, frontal sinus, sphenoidal sinus, nasal pharynx, oropharynx, laryngopharynx, esophagus, layrnx, trachea, primary bronchi, left lung, right lung, and diaphragm.

Draw a histological section of the repiratory epithelium of the trachea under 10x and 40x.  Label the following structures:  lumen, cilia, ciliated columnar epithelium, goblet cells, basment membrane, lamina propira, mucus layer, nucleus, hyaline cartilage and perichondrium.

Draw a sagittal section of the upper respiratory system, labeling the following structures:  frontal sinus, superior conchae, middle conchae, inferior conchae, nasal cavity, interior nares, exterior nares, hard palate, soft palate, uvula, oral cavity, entrance to auditory tube, tubal tonsils, pharyngeal tonsil, tongue, mandible, lingual tonsil, hyoid bone, trachea, esophagus, glottis, laryngopharynx, oropharynx, nasopharynx, and paltine tonsil.

Draw an anterior view of the larynx labeling the following structures:  epiglottis, hyoid bone, thyrohyoid ligament,  laryngeal prominence, thyroid cartlage, cricothyroid ligament, cricotracheal ligament, trachea and tracheal cartilages.

Draw a posterior view of the larynx labeling the following structures:  epiglottis, vocal ligament, arytenoid cartilage, cricoid cartlage, tracheal cartilages.

Draw an anterior view of the trachea and primary bronchi labeling the following structures:  hyoid bone, larynx, tracheal cartilages, trachea, annular ligaments, carina, right and left primary bronchus and root of lung.

Draw a transverse section of the trachea and esophagus labeling the following structures:  esophagus, trachea, annular ligament, trachealis muscle, lamina propira, respiratory epithelium, tracheal cartilage, mucous glands, and lumen.

Draw an anterior view of the costal surface of the right lung labeling the following structures:  apex, base, superior lboe, inferior lobe, middle lobe, oblique fissue, and horizontal surface.

Draw an anterior view of the costal surface of the left lung labeling the following structures:  apex, base, superior lobe, inferior lobe, cardiac notch, oblique fissure.

Draw a posterior view of the mediastinal surface of the right lung labeling the following structures:  apex, base, suprior lobe, middle lobe, inferior lobe, hilus, groove for esophagus, diaphragmatic surface, cardiac impression, anterior margin, horizontal fissure, and oblique fissure.

Draw the basic structure of a lung lobule, showing the arrangement between alveolar ducts and alveoli. Label the following structures:  smooth musle, alveolar duct, alveolus, and alveolar sac.

Draw a cross sectional view of an alveoli labeling the following structures:  type I alveolar cells, type II alveolar cells, elastic fibers, capillaries, alveolar macrophages, and respiratory membrane.

Draw the respiratory membrane labeling the following structures:  capillary lumen, endothlium, fused basal lamina, and alveolar epithelium.

Draw a diagram showing internal and external respiration.
