A NUMBER OF OTHER CELL PRODUCTS ARE ALSO CHEMICAL MESSENGERS BUT ARE NOT HORMONES.  WE WILL DISCUSS THEM HERE EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE MAINLY LOCAL MESSENGERS
